Push The Button tendered and were commissioned to install a replacement dimming solution for the Obie Theatre.
The BRIT School is a prestigious performing arts school in Croydon, London which is funded by the Government as well as the British record industry. It’s alumni include artists such as Adele, Jessie J and FKA Twigs.
The school’s Obie Theatre, which is both a practice and performance space for its students, was in need of the electrical upgrades. Push the Button were brought in to replace five ADB Euro Rack dimmers, which were not compatible with LED technology. In their place they installed six ETC ColourSource ThruPower dimmers, which were better suited to modern lighting fixtures whilst still able to power traditional incandescent lighting fixtures.
A unique approach from Push The Button saw the team identify issues with the electrical phasing in the venue’s and reworking this so that there was only one electrical phase in each working location thus greatly improving the safety of the finished installation.
