Mayflower Theatre – House Lighting and Data Infrastructure Upgrades

House Lighting and Data Infrastructure Upgrades

The 90th year of the Mayflower Theatre has seen it undergo a major refurbishment, replacing all of its seats, improving the facilities for people with disabilities and changing the paint scheme to match that of its heritage. The project has also seen major investment in the technical infrastructure and upgrades to the Houselighting system to future proof the venue.

Push The Button successfully tendered the Houselighting control system and fixture supply. The control system designed by Charcoalblue consisted of an ETC Paradigm processor with touchscreens and button stations. The Houselighting system, designed by 18 Degrees, used a number of different manufacturers LED luminaires all driven by GDS ArcSystem Pro Drivers.

Push The Button were also employed by the client directly to design and install much needed data infrastructure upgrades. A data rack was installed in the sub-stage and facility panels throughout the building to provide Audio Tie Lines, DMX, Production Data, Video, Intercom, Technical Power and Fibre Optic facilities.

Michael Ockwell, Chief Executive of the Mayflower said, “For us this project is very much about ensuring Mayflower Theatre remains best in class not just for now, but long into the future.”
