Installation of technical infrastructure for Studio One
Following the success of the Concert Hall project in 2014, Push The Button were asked to work with the team at the Royal Northern College of Music again to develop an exciting technical infrastructure to support a new pop foundation course, with the development of an isolated audio box within the old drama studio.
The new venue (Studio One) was to house the world’s largest BOXY studio. Push The Button installed all of the technical infrastructure, including the domestic lighting which interfaced with the fire alarm and air conditioning supplies. In total over 1,500 patchways were installed to give the studio the uppermost flexibility with ongoing connection to the buildings existing infrastructure.
The finished product exceeded everybody’s expectation, with work being carried out over an 8 week extended shutdown of the area.
